About Us

Steam ovens have become increasingly popular over the years, catching the attention of keen cooks who want to create healthy everyday meals. The innovative combination of steam and hot air makes them ideal not only for meat, fish and vegetables, but also for bread, cake and roasts. Steam ovens are the healthy alternative to conventional ovens as they allow you to cook dishes which are full of flavour, whilst also retaining the nutrients of the ingredients. They also work wonderfully at enhancing the texture of your food and preventing them from drying out. Some models also have a heating element for traditional cooking and baking. Steam cooking is also speedier than cooking in a conventional oven, particularly with larger dishes or batch cooking. They also unlock the potential of succulent sous vide dishes and let you easily reheat dishes so they taste freshly cooked.

The vast majority of steam ovens have an internal water tank that needs to be filled with water before you start cooking. Depending on the model, this is either done manually or automatically through your kitchen's plumbing system. Once the water canister is full, you're ready to start cooking. As the temperature in the oven rises, the water heats up to create steam. Steam creates moisture inside the oven, which means you don't necessarily have to use oil on your food.

AEG

AEG 6000 Steambake

6000 Series SteamBake

In addition to all your standard functions, the PlusSteam button in the SteamBake ovens adds steam at the beginning of the baking process. The steam cooking keeps the dough moist on the surface to create a golden color and tasty crust, while the heart stays soft and tender. In addition to baking crispy and tasty breads, muffins and pies - your roasted chicken, grilled spare ribs and lasagna will get equally delicious and even cooking results.

The 6000 Series SteamBake ovens are the most simple and affordable in AEG's steam oven range, which makes them ideal for people who want to experience steam cooking. They are perfect for baking bread and pastry dishes. Baking with steam keeps maintains the moisture levels and makes the bread rise better, so your loaves and buns are extra fulffy, while the crust can be baked super crispy.

AEG currently have plenty of SteamBake ovens to choose from. The BPS556020M is a popular choice - it features pyrolytic cleaning, MultiLevel cooking and a food sensor, and is finished off in an anti-fingerprint stainless steel. The BES355010M (pictured) is a multifunction oven which features Aqua Clean, a self cleaning technology that utilises steam to help remove annoying grease and residue inside the cavity. If you're after a sleek, contemporary look, the BPK556260B is available in a stunning all black finish, and comes equipped with pyrolytic cleaning, a handy food sensor, and SpeedCook cooking.

The preparation with steam on sous-vide position also ensures a perfect cooking time.

As well as steam cooking, the SteamPro range also feature AEG's other oven features. One of the most popular models in the range is the BSK792380B, which has a unanimous 5 star rating by customers on AEG's website.
